I am from the first generation of NKOCET. A college where I reinvented myself . It always has been second home for me where study , sports & extracurricular activities goes hand in hand . One thing I would specially like to say staff always used to take extra efforts for backlogged students and I am the beneficiary . Experienced and hard working staff of mechanical branch took lots of efforts to improve the practical and theoretical knowledge of students we got it very useful in further exams.In short NKOCET is the light house for students which emits radiations of knowledge and wisdom . Starting the first year of engineering with computer science is my earliest memory of Orchid College of Engineering. Switching to mechanical engineering in the middle of the third semester was challenging yet fascinating. The professors and staff of the mechanical department were always welcoming. Strict schedules, discipline and the urge to excel were the values of the department and the institute. Though the opportunities for placement were limited back then the department motivated the students to gain technical excellence by preparing for the GATE exam. Innovative efforts like the International Rotary Youth Exchange Program and Study Abroad Cell differentiated the department and the college from the crowd. All this helped me develop as an engineering professional and motivated me to look for opportunities to specialize and work in India and abroad.

I am very fortunate to be called as a Alumini of NK Orchid  College of Engineering and Technology. I  graduated from Orchid in 2013. Ours was only second batch yet we never found any scarcity of resources or lab equipment or books. Since Solapur university was new back then, textbooks were not available and our teachers insisted that we use reference books. The college even provided us with a Book Bank each semester. This habit really helped me during my GATE studies. Mechanical Engineering Department has always been the most sought after department in the college. The staff here is extremely talented and sincere in their efforts. This is the reason why we get so many GATE qualified students from Orchid each year. Mechanical Department has the most advanced labs and have received multiple grants for research because of its talented staff. I have recently been associated with Mechanical Engineering Department of NKOCET as a Industry Person in Department Advisory Board. I get the opportunity to guide the current batches in NKOCET Mechanical Department. The Department is not only concerned about its student’s entry into the corporate world but also they want them to learn new skills so that they excel in their future careers. It is really commendable. I wish all the very Best to Mechanical Department and my beloved NKOCET

I had the privilege of being a part of the first batch at the ENTC department of NKOCET. I remember my time at the department spent learning and working in the lab fondly.The faculty was very accommodating and went out of their way to guide and help us during my time there. Being a part of the first batch of students, the professors and staff made sure we have all the required knowledge and tools available at our disposal in order to succeed. It was under their encouragement and guidance that I was able to craft a path to a successful career in the semiconductor field.

We had an extremely dedicated and motivational group of professors and supporting staff and I will always be thankful to them for helping me during my time there.  Seeing the department and the institute grow and become one of the best engineering institutes in the city has been an incredible experience.

I attended NK Orchid college of engineering for my bachelors in Electronics and Telecommunication major. The technical and practical knowledge I received during the bachelors’ program helped me develop my career in Embedded Systems domain. I did not realize how much I learned until I left school and went to pursue my Masters; I was already well equipped with the needed hands-on experience and practical knowledge. Project meetings and Practical labs during the coursework were fun and made me feel like I was home.
My tenure as the President of ‘Association of Electronics and Telecommunication department Students’ (AEXS) helped me sharpen my interpersonal and managing skills. The department was encouraging and supportive with our ideas and helped us organize several college level events.Besides, I am especially thankful to Prof I. I. Mujawar who guided us for the final year project. He was really supportive and gave us enough freedom to work and manage the project on our own that helped us to learn better.The Electronics and Computer labs were well equipped, and the facilities were very accommodating. I am very thankful to the department and faculty for making me a poised professional student.

I had the best time at Orchid. I remember the A division, the first batch of the Orchid.Being part of first batch we share a special bond with professors. They guided me to understand what’s needed to step into the industry. Though the institute was new there was no shortfall of the resources, institute made sure that all needed resources are available which helped me gain Hands on expertise in Embedded systems and to secure my first Job, after that there was no looking back.

Whenever I visit the College, it makes me happy to see that still all the faculties have the same energy and passion to give the best and bring in everything a student needs to step into constantly changing and competitive Industry.
